Been a while

Hey internet.  It has been a very long time since I last posted.  Long story short: I have been busy.  There was moving in to a new place, dealing with a new job, and little activity with my acting lately.  But I am finally getting back to work with everything again.  I am still working on my part of the staring character Richard Reynolds in the game Depth: The Fall.  To my knowledge Mustafa Nazareno hasn't changed the name yet.  I also just got an audition done for another game called ROAM.  ROAM is a survival game set in a post-apocalyptic future similar to Fallout...but with less radiation, lol.  Not much else is known right now and I will share more if I get a part and have more to share.  Just to let you know I auditioned for a bold support character (no name yet) and one of the cannibals in the Cannibal Faction.  Keeping my fingers crossed.  That is about it for now.  I will try to go back to updating more consistently again.  Have a good one.

Ain't that a Kick in the Vocal Cords

Hey everyone.  Sorry for the week break from the last post.  I have been crazy busy lately and I also am working on moving so I am not sure when my next update will be.  But lately I have done another audition for a cute indie game called Fiona Frightening and the Wicked Wardrobe (http://mtc-studios.deviantart.com/gallery/44926902).  I did the audition for the role of Francis the Frankenstein Monster.  Crossing fingers for this one.  It does seem that this guy has huge ambitions and I like it.  It seems to be a Banjo-Kazooie type of adventure game and MTC-Studios hoping to release it on Wii U or 3DS (not sure which yet).  It really does look adorable and I would give it support.

Now for the treat I promised a few people.  It isn't the song I mentioned 2 weeks ago but it is a song.  This is a classic that was sung by one of the greatest singers ever.  I would love to sing like this man but I am trying my best.  Listen and enjoy.

No Video This Week

Sorry loyal followers but I don't have a video to share this week.  But I do have some news.  I recently did an audition for another indie game, this time it is an RPG (I know, no horror game) called Selatria.  Not much to tell right now.  Maybe after I get the part (assuming that I do get it) I will know more to share.  Until then just keep checking the blog and more will come.  Maybe next week I will post a song I wrote in high school unless I have something better to share.  So just keep checking for more news on my acting career and some upcoming indie projects.  Have a good weekend.

The Return of the King (of Oblivion)

Hello my fans out there.  I am back after two weeks of nothing.  I am sorry about that.  One week my computer freaks out and another week it is in the shop.  So yeah, that happened.  Outside of that I have been working and I have been also doing an audition for another Horror themed indie game.  I don't have a name to give yet but I will when I know and if I get the part.

Now on to the video I am posting.  It is a work in progress of an episode of the Oblivion Machinima I stared in.  Cavious Varro (the protagonist) is a former assassin (a member of the Dark Brotherhood) that is on a path of redemption through Elder Scrolls IV: Obilivion's story missions.  James Seren (the creator (https://www.youtube.com/user/ElderscrollsTheater?feature=watch)) also made original characters as well that I have grown to love through what I have done so far.  Now apparently I was replacing the original actor due to...whatever reasons.  I have been given permission to share this and it is an interesting show.  I really like the story of the show after going through what I have gone through (sorry folks, no spoilers from me).  I recommend giving it a watch and support James Seren.  More support may help get these episodes out faster.  Watch and enjoy...

Azure-Productions

Apologies for being a day late.  Got wrapped up with stuff yesterday and completely forgot.  Well not much going on this week.  Looks like I may have a day job and I did an audition for another indie game, another survival horror type with a Silent Hill vibe (sure seems to be a few of those around, lol).  But with nothing exactly new I decided to share something old.  I have mentioned Azure-Productions before and it is a group I am particularly fond of.  They have one major project and one minor (I have been on both).

Let's start with the minor one, Follow My Ruin.  Follow My Ruin is a story following a girl who is disowned by her large and powerful family for going against what they believe is their ways.  They own a major weapons developer and there are hints that they are not the most ethical people out there.  After she is thrown out of the company and the family she meets with some random party girl and after a series of random events find themselves with Preserve, a group who wishes to expose the company for what it is.  She joins and there we have the basis of Follow My Ruin.  I played Jason Sanders.  The "straight man" of the group.  I first appeared in either the second or third episode, honestly can't remember.  The quality is actually good and I suggest you give it a listen.  Sadly it is either put on hold or cancelled due to the other project and the steam it gathered.

Azure-Production's major project is Shattered Heaven.  I am not completely familiar with the story but in a nutshell, Mechsuits.  It is a lot like Gundam, Armored Core, Robot Jocks, etc.  The series has had a couple of novels, an animated series, a radioplay, and is continuing to grow.  I had a part in the animated film Shattered Heaven: Sins of the Soul (I think...or was the novel, lol).  I played General Howard Pertencia.  Again this is decent from what I have been able to check out and again I think it is well worth looking into.  To learn more about Shattered Heaven, Follow My Ruin, or just Azure-Productions go to their website: http://www.azure-productions.com/.  Enjoy.

Detective Scarlet's Indiegogo Campaign

So here is the fund raising link for the Indie Game: Detective Scarlet.

http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/detective-scarlet/x/1778360

Go ahead and start giving funds to the little guy.  The more money that comes into these games, the better quality they can be (no guarantee though).  The game itself is kinda based on the basics of L.A. Noire (different quality, obviously) but the alpha stages are starting look good.  So as I said go ahead and support, especially if this game appeals to you.  Read the Indiegogo campaign for more information.

Another Week, Another Acting Gig

Well a week has gone by and for a bit I was wondering what to write.  Luckily for me I was offered another acting gig doing an indie game called Detective Scarlet.  The game is being developed by Ronnie Bell and will be on Kickstarter in a week or two.  From what I do know it is a detective adventure.  Seems simple enough but all I have seen are the alpha stages.  I will be playing the small roles of a suspect and possibly the narrator (that is still being discussed).  I will post a link to the Kickstarter when it is ready.  Outside of that there isn't much else to update.  I feel kinda bad that I don't have video to share this week but maybe next week I will have something.  But in the mean time enjoy this cover picture for Detective Scarlet.

My first character demo

I have been sharing this for a while. I made this character demo during my first year acting. As a note, when I made this video I had no video clips to use so I had only my audio files and pictures of either the characters I was playing or pics of the closest things I could find. Also it came out clear as day when I made it but when I transferred it and uploaded it the quality went to hell. Listen and enjoy.

The Silent Council - Timeline: Resurrection Holocrons

Here I was a narrator as a Sith Lord telling about the key tool for the council, Resurrection Holocrons.  Enjoy.

Resident Evil: Legacy of Tricell

Here is an episode I was on for Resident Evil: Legacy of Tricell.  Sadly the show got cancelled due to lack of interest from the public and lack of work from some of the actors.  I played a helicopter pilot and I also did a villain in the following episode but I don't think it was produced.  Enjoy episode 2 of Legacy of Tricell (for episode one look it up on youtube, it is in 3 parts).

Nuff Said really.

Tomb Raider: The King Arthur Project

Here is a video of one of my earlier works.  This is Tomb Raider: The King Arthur Project where I played the archeologist and historian Jean Yves (real dude, who knew).  If you are not sure which in the video it is...I am the only guy there so that should simplify things, lol.  I was praised by the creator Simon S for my duplication of the original actors voice...except I actually had a French accent, lol.  This is just a gameplay video from StevenSvorticher playing the game (hard to find videos of my work sometimes), so check his youtube page as well for support.  Watch and enjoy.

The Shattered War

Here are a couple of trailers for the upcoming mod Dragon Age: Origins the Shattered War.  I am in teaser trailer 2 for those who are curious. Watch and enjoy.  Amstrad Hero (http://amstradherocreations.blogspot.com/) is a good a great programmer and please support him.  As for a release date...I don't have that yet.

The First Day on the Blog

Hey.  My name is Patrick Dunn and I am a professional voice actor.  I have been working as a Voice Over Artist for over 2 years (at the time I wrote this blog).  I officially started on the Bioware Social Network (http://social.bioware.com/home.php?) doing various Dragon Age: Origins mods (both finished and unfinished).  It is there that my first vocal project was published, The Craggy Island.  I spent time working there and it is there I also met Dahlia Lynn.  She and Daniel Marney Elkins helped me with trying to further my career.  They eventually led me to the VAA (Voice Acting Alliance (http://voiceactingalliance.com/board/forum.php) and there I got involved with numerous projects.  Many of those projects include: Tomb Raider: The King Arthur Project (as Jean Yves); Follow My Ruin (as Jason Sanders); Shattered Heaven (http://www.azure-productions.com/) (as General Pertencia); Invocation of Awesome, LLC (as the Gravy Chef); Resident Evil - Legacy of Tricell (as Gary the Helicopter Pilot and Cole the Mercenary Leader); The Red Wolf (Kano/The Red Wolf); Dragon Age Origins: The Shattered War (as Garroth); an Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Machinima (as Cavious Varro); and a Halo: Reach Machinima (as Commander Samson).  I am currently working for Awkward Minds, Inc. playing the starring role of Richard Reynolds in their upcoming game Depth: The Fall.

Outside of my acting work I also do the occasional movie and video game reviews.  You can find some review with Timdiana on Bliptv (http://blip.tv/timdiana-the-reviews) or on Angry Joe's Forum (http://www.angryjoeshow.com/forum/) as Maleficent5.  I generally go by the screen name Maleficent5 so if you see that it is probably me.  With that I also do some random writing of both original works of fiction (The Maleficent Saga and The Hell-Seeker stories) or various fan fiction for the heck of it.  I don't think I have published anything outside of Legacy of the Void on The Silent Council site (Star Wars: The Old Republic Guild).  That is about it.  I will be back next Tuesday or so to update about both Depth: The Fall (if there is anything to update) and whatever is going on in my acting life.

See Ya, Love Ya, and Good Night.
